We are going LIVE!
Beta mode ending

As you may know, we have been operating in Beta, or testing mode since opening in January. This period was limited to members that have previous shop experience. The time allowed us the opportunity to learn from our members and to develop our educational programs. But the time is coming to an end and we will open to everyone on March 22nd.

To celebrate, we will be holding an open house style event with live demonstrations so you can see the equipment in action. Demonstrations will begin at noon with rotating demos taking place at 20 minute intervals. We will be featuring the 3D printer, laser engraver, CNC mill, CNC router and CNC plasma table. If you would like to see something else, just ask. We will run the demonstrations until around 4:00 pm.

A schedule of demonstration times will be available on the event page as the time comes nearer. We will have a special Go LIVE! membership available for that day only. This will be an exciting day at The Manufactory and we hope you can join us.

Laser Engraver upgrade!

Members have told us that one of the difficulties in using the laser engraver is determining exactly where the laser was going to engrave/cut.

This is just a small part of our continuing improvements to the space in response to member feedback.

Like to work late?
The start of Daylight Savings is not the only change that has been made to the clocks at The Manufactory. We are beginning to expand our hours in response to the needs of our members. We will now be open until 11:00 pm on Wednesday nights. Our regular hours will continue to expand and we will begin staying open later on other evenings in the coming weeks. And, since we rarely see anyone come through the doors on Sunday mornings, we will not be opening until noon on that day.
