The construction and setup of the metal shop is almost finished. We are still waiting on a lathe and box & pan brake to arrive. A little more electrical work and we can call it done! The metal shop feature 2 basic areas, machining and fabricating. The machine shop has 4 lathes of various sizes, a CNC mill and 2 Bridgeport mills with DROs, cold saw, vertical and horizontal band saws, arbor presses and surface plate. The fabricating area is dominated by a 10 foot 16 gauge brake, it is an impressive, for a simple machine. We also have a power shear, box and pan brake and numerous tools for bending and working with sheet, pipe and bar metals.
