The Manufactory is proud support the Cincinnati Canstruction Design/Build Competition effort of PEDCO E & A Services, Inc.
PEDCO’s team used The CNC router at The Manufactory to create the support bases for the project which consisted of nearly two dozen sheets of 4 x 8 material. The project, Dory – “Just Keep Giving”, won “The Can Spirit Award”, for using 9,775 cans of tomato sauce, potatoes, beans and broth, the most of any entry. They also won the “The Peoples Choice Award” by garnering the most votes from the public. The structure was on display at the Weston Art Gallery.
After the competition was completed the canned goods were donated to the Freestore Foodbank, to benefit Cincinnati families. Congratulations to the PEDCO team for their accomplishment and contribution towards building our community.
