In this introductory class you will learn the basics of working with wood and several pieces of equipment to make an important safety tool. The class is required for all members wanting to use equipment in the wood shop. It is also a prerequisite for all other wood shop Safe Use classes.
After completing this class members will be qualified to operate the following equipment in the Wood Shop: Panel saw, band saw, miter saw, drill press, sanders, scroll saw/drill and hand power tools.
As with all of our Safe Use classes, you may repeat them at no charge (Materials not included). We do this because we want all of our members to feel confident and safe when using the equipment.
