Our beloved Nuts, the Walnut Hills High School robotics team, took second place in the Ohio FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics state championship held on Valentine’s Day. This placing qualifies them to compete in the North Super-Regional Competition to be held in Iowa, March 26-28, 2015. A good placing in the Super-Regional will send them to the world competition in April!
The Manufactory is very proud to sponsor the Nuts by providing training and a workspace to help them in designing and constructing of their robot. This group of smart young people use a blend of creativity, engineering, technical skills and youthful energy to build a robot that completes a set of predetermined tasks. The competition has a rigorous set of rules and constraints for construction and the process must be well documented. They are graded in numerous areas, but the fun comes during the competitions where they go head-to-head against other teams.
We salute the achievements of our team and look forward to seeing them in the competition next month. The Manufactory is fortunate to have them. Go Nuts!
